Aspiring Kenyan Singer, Mwachari drops 2nd single ‘Away’ off his upcoming EP

While the dust raised by his previous bangers was still to settle, talented Kenyan mellow singer, Mwachari has again hit the music world with another psychedelic single titled Away. Not only is Mwachari quickly becoming a household name in the Kenyan music industry, but is also showing sky-level ambitions.

The track Away, that is already making the rounds, was written and composed by Mwachari, and produced by House of Dillie and mixed and mastered by Dj A-Boom.

Mwachari’s previous releases like Oyao and Pull up have left anticipation for his future music. His latest release Away is a song that will take you deeper into Mwachari’s love story which began with Oyao.  It draws us in through its raw emotions, catchy melody and amazing guitar.

The video is shot in a beach setting, showcasing two lovebirds having a great time, exploring their surroundings and getting to know each other better.

The video was directed by 1998 productions and Mwachari.

Mwachari has already bagged a number of accolades

Mwachari, who is also a Kenyan Singer, Songwriter, Performer and actor was brought up in the coastal city of Mombasa, Kenya.

He started singing at the tender age of 8 after joining the church kids singing group at Mombasa Pentecostal Church.

It wasn’t however, until he was 16 that he fully embraced music as a way of life, taking every opportunity to sing and perform in High School events, playing active roles in Music and Drama Festivals.

Along these lines, singing and acting became a way of sharing and appreciating life, as well as a way of expression.

While growing up, his greatest musical influences were Swahili Nation, Usher, Maxwell, Craig David, Boyz 2Men and gospel singing group Acappella.

Mwachari later joined Penya Africa’s artist development program, Sauti Academy in 2013 where he learned and honed his songwriting, performance and vocal skills.

With a heavily R & B afro-pop musical style, laid back persona and rich acoustic sound, his unique mellow voice leaves the ear yearning for more of his addictive melodies.

Even at his humble beginnings, Mwachari has already bagged a number of accolades. He was named Nairobi’s 3rd Best Male Vocalist in December’s Issue of UP magazine 2014 , just behind D Major and Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime. The young sensation has had the privilege to work on a demo recording for a musical with renowned singer, songwriter, performer & political activist Erick Wainaina, among other Sauti Academy Alumni.

He was formerly the lead vocalist of the Hot Sounds band that performs in different entertainment spots in Nairobi and its Environs.

Mwachari’s acting instincts have seen him play supporting roles in a number of TV series, Movies and Shows such as ‘Jane & Abel’ and ‘Sumu la Penzi ’ a Kenyan TV Drama Series on DSTV’S Maisha Magic channel 161,’Urembo’ that aired on Star Times Media, ‘Sweetest Taboo’ another Kenyan TV series that premiered on Star Times Media, Waliobaki’ a comedy on Ktn and ‘Nakucheki’ a movie on Maisha Magic.

As the saying goes music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life; Mwachari strives to be that kind of musician you’d want to listen to everyday.
