Brian Robbo, multi talented singer-songwriter, DJ and rapper from Nigeria has added yet another song titled “Na Go” to his rich repertoire. The smashing and danceable new track “Na Go”, pregnant with aphorisms, was launched worldwide last month.
Brian Robbo’s music and entertainment career has spanned over the years with utmost hard work and determination. His interest in music started at an early age with his native country, Nigeria being the springboard that heavily influenced his music and ultimately led to his journey to Europe. It was there that he got his start in music, performing on stage with notable German artists.
Robbo was often around people who were more musically oriented than him. At his early age, he worked around well-known Nigerian artists, including Eno Louise, Chris Mba, Felix liberty, Black rice and Majek Fashek.
In-between making music, Brian received a diploma in Audio Engineering from the Sae Institute in Cologne, Germany. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing with a focus on music production from London’s Middlesex University. He has even published two books, Nollywood: The Nigerian Film Industry and Learn Edo the Easy Way. Both are available to purchase worldwide online.
God has been a major influence in Brian’s music, gifting him with the ability to translate his thoughts into musical lyrics. Today, Brian’s primary focus is hip-hop and rap, but he also dabbles in dance music and R&B.
He’s constantly inspired by his surroundings when writing his music. He cites his main musical influences as Kurtis Blow, The Grand Master Flash, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and countless others.
Brian’s ability to create and curate any genre of music truly sets him apart from the rest, and his forthcoming releases, “Stop the War” and “This Is Mine” (Beat by: Dreamlife and Epistra) are perfect evidence of that. “Stop the War” is about the world’s constant state of war. It’s a dark song focused around the inability of our world leaders to work together and instead sacrifice their own people for the sake of their own prides, greed and hatred of one another.
Most of Brian’s music is available online here.
