A brand new single titled ‘Chacun pour soi’ by the legendary Papa Wemba, who passed into eternity recently has been released.
The three minutes thirty two seconds long song ‘Chacun pour soi’ roughly translated into English as ‘Every man for himself’ has been made public by Tanzanian’s young superstar artiste, Diamond Platinumz who collaborated in the song. face
The song was recorded on March 28th, 2016, in Paris, hardly a month before the king of Rumba collapsed and died on stage while performing in France.

Diamond Platinumz, who is the leader Tanzanian based WASAFI Record, met up with Wemba during the latter’s last tour of Europe, where the two singers struck the deal to do the callabo.
‘Chacun pour soi’ or ‘Every man for himself’ is a three minute long song which is considered as a blind of two different generations, genres, nationalities, languages and cultures. The wonderful piece of music laced by Wemba’s melodious voice, is sung in three different languages – Lingala, French and Kiswahili.
The song that is posted on the late papa Wemba’s official website and on YouTube has already attracted close to 300,000 views barely a week after it was released on June 24th,2016.
Papa Wemba might be dead, but his music lives on and will continue to do so for an artiste never dies.
