After a 31 day confinement, German based Cameroon singer Asamor, has hit the music world with a single titled Dr Coro coro.
The song is named after the Corona virus pandemic that is wreaking havoc throughout of world. According to WHO statistics, there are 3.42 million confirmed covid-19 cases, with a recovery figure of 1.9 million and 244, 000 deaths worldwide.
Asamor, a young and talented artiste, was infected with Covid-19 and had to be quarantine for a month.
“This song was composed during my 31 days in quarantine, due to corona virus infection”, Asamor, wrote on Youtube channel.
During his quarantine days, Asamor, 45, organized daily Facebook live shows to educate other people about corona virus.
It’s worth noting that, Manu Dibango, another African music legend, was the first high profile celebrity to be killed bu Covid-19 in France.
The Bonn based Cameroonian singer owns a recording studio known as PRAXON in Bonn, Germany and has been extending a helping hand to young artistes from Africa.
Asamor is also laureate of KAMA- a German-based Kultural Ambassador Media Award’ of 2008. Asamor is also an actor and has appeared in two African movies DarkZone and Bushfallers.
Asamor’s new song, Dr Coro coro, is just the latest in over a dozen of songs he has so far released into the market. Other tracks include Chingini chingini, Kolobang, Wanderful, Makandi Dance, just to name these few.
